Zach Wilder is the Associate Program Officer at the Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation, where he supports the Foundation’s grantmaking processes and manages the Other Health Initiatives portfolio, which includes healthcare workforce development, food insecurity, and violence prevention. As an emerging public health leader, Zach focuses his efforts on enhancing cross-sector collaborations to achieve systems-level improvements that eliminate health inequities experienced by Illinois’ children.
In his previous role, Zach served as a Graduate Fellow with the Loyola Stands Against Gun Violence Committee in Chicago, leading initiatives to reduce gun violence through education, advocacy, and community engagement. Earlier in his career, Zachary held positions in the U.S. House of Representatives where he supported legislative correspondence, public health and healthcare policy research and advocacy, and constituent engagement.
Zachary earned his Master of Public Health from Loyola University Chicago, with a concentration on health policy, equity, and management. He brings expertise in policy analysis, community engagement, and program development—driven by a commitment to improving the health and well-being of children and families across Illinois.
